Due to this magic of Eid magician Salman Khan, the release date of his upcoming film ‘Sikander’ in the year 2025 has also been kept on the occasion of Eid. Apart from Salman Khan, there are many other things due to which this film can prove to be the biggest hit of the year 2025.
The film is being directed by AR Murugadoss, who has made great entertainers like ‘Holiday’ and ‘Ghajini’. But there is one more special thing about the film which makes it even bigger. Actually, Rashmika Mandanna’s entry in the film has also been confirmed. And if we look at the box office records of the year 2023, Rashmika has outweighed Salman. How Rashmika Mandanna is overshadowed by Salman Khan?
The year 2023 was a year of big hits. This year, Shahrukh’s Jawan, Pathan and Donkey together collected more than Rs 2500 crore. So Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ created a stir at the box office. This year another big film came out whose name is ‘Animal’. While Ranbir Kapoor got his biggest hit from this film, Bobby Deol’s career took off. So Rashmika had two blockbuster films with 2021’s ‘Pushpa – The Rise’ and 2023’s ‘Animal’. According to Sacknilk, Rashmika’s ‘Pushpa – The Rise’ earned more than Rs 350 crore worldwide. Whereas ‘Animal’ made a worldwide collection of Rs 915 crore.
Where has Salman Khan become weak?
While Rashmika gave two blockbuster films from the year 2021 to 2023, Salman Khan’s Radhe, Last, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Tiger 3 were released during this period. Except Tiger 3, none of these films have been able to make good collections. At the same time, Tiger 3 also failed to make the same collection as was expected from this film. Firstly, it was a Tiger series film and secondly, Salman Khan was in it.
Accordingly, miracles like Jawan, Pathan were expected from this film, but the film has earned only around 464 crores worldwide. The film has been included only in the hit category. Whereas the 2017 part of the same film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ had earned Rs 558 crores just 7 years ago and proved to be a blockbuster. Meaning, Salman was seen lagging behind himself in the competition.
Salman has not given blockbuster in last many years
Where Rashmika has two big blockbusters. Whereas Salman Khan has not given a single blockbuster in the last 7 or 8 years. Either his films have been average or flop. In this case too, Rashmika seems to be dominating Salman.
But 2025 can become historic
Of course, Salman does not have any big hit as of now. But if we look at his average of hit films since 2009, he is higher than any other Bollywood actor. Even today people go to the screens to see him. Salman Khan does not have to yearn for hits like Akshay Kumar, because his average film also easily crosses the 150 crore mark.

Rashmika’s film ‘Pushpa – The Rule’, which is currently dominating Salman in terms of collections, will also be released before Sikandar, whose success is already being speculated.
